With just four apartments offering a maximum occupancy of up to 10 persons, Muri Retreat is also suitable for family groups or friends travelling together.

Location
Muri Retreat is located on a private hillside on the south-east of Rarotonga. Muri Beach is one of the most popular beach destinations on the island and Muri Beach Village is just a 10 minute stroll away. Local bus route goes around the coastline of Rarotonga, with the main town of Avarua just 15 minutes away.

Accommodation
There are four individual Muri Retreat Apartments: Kaute, Kukupa, Moko and Onu. Each is suitable for one couple, except the Moko apartment, which can accommodate a third person for the small additional fee of NZ$30 per night). The apartments are self-servicing (no maid service) but guests are not required to launder their own towels or linens; clean towels and linen are available weekly of your stay at no extra charge. Each of the four furnished apartments have ceiling fans, fully equipped kitchen, fridge/freezer, stove, microwave, cutlery and crockery, en suite bathrooms, living area, phone, radio, CD player, alarm clock, insect screens, table and lamps.

KAUTE: Premier upstairs studio apartment with panoramic ocean, lagoon, sunrise and garden views. Option of Super King bed or 2 King Singles.

KUKUPA: Cozy upstairs studio with views of ocean, lagoon and sunrise. Queen size bed.

MOKO: This is a large one bedroom ground floor apartment, with spacious interior and garden/ocean views. Super King size bed (or 2 King Singles), plus single sofa bed for optional third guest. Ideal for long stays, with larger fridge/freezer, spacious patio areas.

ONU: Cozy ground floor studio style apartment with garden and ocean views from the patio. Queen size bed.

All apartments are non-smoking inside; however smoking is permitted on the verandas.

Facilities at Muri Retreat include BBQ area, salt water swimming pool, WIFI internet, on site parking, ’chill out’ hut with TV & DVD/CD/Radio player, , books and boardgames. There is a self-service laundry.

At nearby Muri Village, there are vehicle rentals (scooters, cars, jeeps or push bikes), gift shops, food supply stores, pharmacy, restaurants and bars, art galleries, spas and island nights entertainment.

Activities
Enjoy a variety of activities while in Rarotonga, both on land and in the ocean. Muri Beach offers many activities such as lagoon cruises, snorkeling, sailing, kite surfing, windsurfing and charter fishing. July to October there is also whale-watching. On land, guests may enjoy walking, cycling, safari tours, off road buggy tours and hiking. There is also a golf course near Avarua.
